अंटार्कटिका मरुस्थल (अंटार्कटिक) - अंटार्कटिका मरुस्थल शब्‍द का हिन्‍दी में अर्थ अंटार्कटिका रेगिस्‍तान होता है अंटार्कटिका बर्फ से ढका होने के बावजूद, अत्‍यंत कम वर्षा के कारण, वास्‍तव में दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा रेगिस्‍तान है। महाद्वीप का ठंडा तापमान और तेज हवाएं बहुत शुष्‍क जलवायु में योगदान करती है। जिससे यह एक ध्रुवीय रेगिस्‍तान बन जाता है। यहां पर 200 मिलीमीटर (8इंच) से कम वर्षा होती है। यह मरुस्थल 14.2 मिलियन वर्ग किमी (5.5 मिलियन वर्ग मील) में फैला हुआ है।

Antarctica Desert (Antarctic) - The word Antarctica Desert in Hindi means Antarctica Desert. Despite being covered with ice, Antarctica is actually the world's largest desert, due to very little rainfall. The continent's cold temperatures and strong winds contribute to a very dry climate. This makes it a polar desert. There is less than 200 millimetres (8 inches) of rainfall here. This desert is spread over 14.2 million square km (5.5 million square miles).

Seven countries have territorial claims:

Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom; these claims are not recognized by the 1959 Antarctica Treaty.
