'निर्मल ग्राम पुरस्कार'

समग्र स्वच्छता अभियान के क्रियान्वयन की ओर गति प्रदान करने के लिए सरकार ने 'निर्मल ग्राम पुरस्कार' योजना आरंभ की है, जो पूरी तरह से स्वच्छ और खुले में शौच मुक्त ग्राम पंचायत, विकासखण्डों तथा जिलों को दिया जाता है। निर्मल भारत अभियान 1 अप्रैल, 2012 से लागू है। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में स्वच्छता दायरे में तेजी लाना है।

To accelerate the implementation of the Total Sanitation Campaign, the government has launched the 'Nirmal Gram Puraskar' scheme, which is awarded to Gram Panchayats, Development Blocks, and Districts that are completely clean and open-defecation free. The Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan has been in effect since April 1, 2012. The objective of this program is to accelerate the coverage of sanitation in rural areas.
