Folk dances of Baghelkhand:
परधौनी:- परधौनी नृत्य विशेष अवसरों पर (मुख्यत: विवाह के समय) बैगा आदिवासियों द्वारा किया जाता है इस नृत्य में नवयुवक हाथी की पाोशाक पहनकर नृत्य करते है।
Pardhauni: Pardhauni is a dance performed by the Baiga tribe on special occasions (mainly during weddings). In this dance, young men wear elephant costumes and perform the dance.
दादर नृत्य :- बघेलखण्ड का प्रसिद्ध दादर नृत्य मुख्यत: पुरूषों द्वारा प्रसन्नता के अवसर पर दादर गीत करके किया जाता है दादर नृत्य के मुख्य वाद्य यंत्र शहनाई, ढोल, ढोलक एवं ढप है।
Dadar Dance: The famous Dadar dance of Baghelkhand is primarily performed by men on joyous occasions, accompanied by Dadar songs. The main musical instruments used in the Dadar dance are the shehnai, dhol, dholak, and dap.
जातीय गीतों की विशेषता के अनुरूप दादरा नृत्य मध्य प्रदेश की कोटवार, कहार, कोल आदि जनजातियों में प्रसिद्ध है।
In keeping with the characteristics of folk songs, the Dadra dance is popular among the Kotwar, Kahar, Kol, and other tribes of Madhya Pradesh.
केहरा नृत्य :-
Kehra Dance :-
केहरा नृत्य स्त्री व पुरूष की विभिन्न शैलियों का समायोजन है इसकी मुख्य ताल कहेरवा है इस नृत्य में फुरहरी नामक एक विशेष मुद्रा में स्त्रियां हाथों में हाथ देकर चकरी बनाते हुए नृत्य का प्रदर्शन करती है केहरा नृत्य बारी जाति में विशेष लोकप्रिय है।
Kehra dance is a blend of different styles performed by both men and women. Its main rhythm is called Keharwa. In this dance, women perform a special movement called Furhari, forming a circle while holding hands. Kehra dance is particularly popular among the Bari community.
कलसा नृत्य :-
Kalasa Dance:
गड़ेरिया, अहीर, गुप्ता आदि जातियों द्वारा बारात की अगवानी में सिर पर कलश रखकर यह नृत्य किया जाता है कलसा नृत्य में परंपरागत धोती, बड़ी पहनकर तथा साफा बांधकर नृत्य किया जाता है।
This dance is performed by communities such as the Gadariya, Ahir, and Gupta castes, who welcome the wedding procession with earthen pots balanced on their heads. In the Kalsa dance, performers wear traditional dhotis and turbans.
बिरहा नृत्य :-
Birha Dance :-
विवाह एवं दीपावली के अवसर पर बिरहा गायन एवं नृत्य किया जाता है।
Biraha singing and dancing are performed on the occasions of weddings and Diwali.
बिरहा पुरूष प्रधान नृत्य है लेकिन स्त्रियों के सम्मिलित होने पर यह नृत्य प्रश्नोत्तर पर आधारित हो जाता है
Biraha is a male-dominated dance form, but when women participate, the dance becomes based on a question-and-answer format.
अहीर जाति में विशेष लोकप्रिय होने के कारण इस नृत्य को अहिराई नृत्य भी कहा जाता है।
Because of its particular popularity among the Ahir community, this dance is also called Ahirai dance.
