This bank was established in 1895 in Lahore. The founder of this bank was Lala Lajpat Rai. The headquarter is in New Delhi. It was the first indigenous bank of India. The establishment of this bank was inspired by the spirit of nationalism. It was the first bank managed entirely by Indians with Indian capital.
इस बैंक की स्थापना 1895 में लाहौर में की गयी इस बैंक के संस्थापक लाला लाजपत राय थे मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में है यह भारत का पहला स्वदेशी बैंक था इस बैंक की स्थापना राष्ट्रवाद की भावना से प्रेरित थी यह भारतीय पूंजी से पूरी तरह भारतीय द्वारा प्रंबधित पहला बैंक था
