भारतीय पुरातत्‍व सर्वेक्षण - 1861 में इसकी स्‍थापना अलेक्‍जेंडर कनिंघम द्वारा की गई थी भारतीय पुरातत्‍व सर्वेक्षण (ASI) पुरातात्विक अनुसंधान संरक्षण, और सांस्‍कृतिक विरासत स्‍थलों के संरक्षण के लिए जिम्‍मेदार है। यह एक एजेंसी है इसके वर्तमान में प्रमुख निर्देशक वी. विध्‍यावती भारतीय है। इसका मुख्‍यालय देहरादून में है।  Archaeological Survey of India - It was founded in 1861 by Alexander Cunningham. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is responsible for archaeological research, conservation, and preservation of cultural heritage sites. It is an agency whose current head is Director V. Vidyavati Bharti. Its headquarters is in Dehradun.
