टोडा जनजाति

टोडा- 

 Toda-

एक प्राचीन द्रविड़ जनजाति जो तमिलनाडु राज्‍य के नीलगिरि पहाडि़यों में निवास करती है यह जनजाति अल्‍प मात्रा में बची है भारत  सरकार द्वारा इस जनजाति को सुरक्षित करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे है ।

 An ancient Dravidian tribe which resides in the Nilgiri hills of Tamil Nadu state, this tribe is left in small numbers, efforts are being made by the Government of India to protect this tribe.

यह जनजाति टोडा कड़ाई के लिए प्रसिद्ध है जो महिलाएं शॉल पर करती है  

This tribe is famous for the Toda embroidery which the women do on shawls.

टोडा जनजाति के घर को अर्श कहा जाता है टोंडा जनजाति का पांरपारिक लोकनृत्‍य कनियन कुथ है  

The house of the Toda tribe is called Arsh. The traditional folk dance of the Tonda tribe is Kaniyan Kuth.

टोंडा लोग भगवान अमोद और देवी टोकी की पूजा करते है इनके पूजा स्‍थल को 'फो' कहा जाता है।  

The Tonda people worship Lord Amod and Goddess Toki, their place of worship is called 'Pho'.
