भारतीय संग्रहालय

भारतीय संग्रहालय- इस संग्रहालय में कला पुरातत्‍व नृविज्ञान, भूविज्ञान प्राणीविज्ञान और उद्यौगिक कला सहित विभिन्‍न क्षेत्रों से संबंधित कलाकृतियों का संग्रह है इसकी स्‍थापना एशियाटिक सोसाइटी या बंगाल द्वारा 1814 में कोलकाता में की गई थी। यहां 4 हजार साल पुरानी ममी बुद्ध के जीवन को दर्शानी वाली नक्‍काशी और मूर्तियां पांचवी शताब्‍दी पूर्व के सिक्‍के , मिस्र भरहुत, उड़ीसा कला, गंधार कला आदि का संग्रह है।  

Indian Museum- This museum has a collection of artifacts related to various fields including art, archaeology, anthropology, geology, zoology and industrial art. It was established in Kolkata in 1814 by the Asiatic Society of Bengal. It has a collection of 4 thousand year old mummy, carvings and sculptures depicting the life of Buddha, coins of 5th century BC, Egyptian Bharhut, Orissa art, Gandhara art etc.
