मुल्तान अभियान / Multan Campaign -
713 ई. के आरंभ में मुहम्मद बिन कासिम ऊपरी सिंध के मुख्य नगर मुल्तान की ओर बढ़ा।
In early 713 AD, Muhammad bin Qasim advanced towards Multan, the chief city of Upper Sindh.
इस विजय से अरबों को अत्याधिक सोना प्राप्त हुआ, जिसके कारण अरबों ने मुल्तान को 'स्वर्णनगरी' की संज्ञा दी।
Due to this victory, the Arabs got a lot of gold, due to which the Arabs called Multan 'Golden City'.
मुहम्मद चिन कासिम ने सिंध एवं मुल्तान के अलावा अन्य क्षेत्रों की विजय के लिए अभियान बनाने की कोशिश तो कि लेकिन उसकी मृत्यु हो गई।
Muhammad Chin Qasim tried to launch a campaign to conquer areas other than Sindh and Multan but died.
(खलीफा के आदेश पर, बैल की चमड़ी में लपेटकर दमिश्क भेजा गया था, रास्ते में दम घुटने से उसकी मृत्यु हुई। साथ ही इस विषय पर कुछ इतिहासकारों के अलग - अलग मत है)
