Mowgli Land

पेंच नेशनल पार्क सतपुड़ा की पहाड़ियों के दक्षिणी भाग में स्थित है। इस स्थान का नामकरण पेंच नदी के कारण हुआ है जो कि पेंच नेशनल पार्क के साथ-साथ उत्तर से दक्षिण की और बहती है। यह पार्क मध्य प्रदेश की दक्षिणी सीमा में महाराष्ट्र के पास स्थित है। महाराष्ट्र सरकार द्वारा इसे 1983 में नेशनल पार्क घोषित किया गया और 1992 में इसे अधिकारिक रूप से भारत का उन्नीसवां टाइगर रिजर्व घोषित किया गया। मोगली लैंड का क्षेत्र मध्यप्रदेश के सिवनी जिले का जंगल है, जिसे अब इंदिरा प्रियदर्शनी राष्ट्रीय उद्यान अथवा पेंच टाइगर रिजर्व भी कहते हैं। यही क्षेत्र मोगली का घर था। इसके तथ्यात्मक प्रमाण के रूप में सर विलियम हेनरी स्लीमन के एन एकाउंट ऑफ वाल्वस नरचरिंग चिल्ड्रन इन देयर डेन्स शीर्षक के एक दस्तावेज का उल्लेख किया जाता है।

Pench National Park is located in the southern part of the Satpura Hills. The park is named after the Pench River, which flows from north to south through the park. It is situated on the southern border of Madhya Pradesh, near Maharashtra. It was declared a national park by the Maharashtra government in 1983 and officially designated as India's nineteenth tiger reserve in 1992. The area known as Mowgli Land is a forest in the Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, now also called the Indira Priyadarshini National Park or Pench Tiger Reserve. This is the area where Mowgli is said to have lived. As factual evidence, a document by Sir William Henry Sleeman titled "An Account of Wolves Nurturing Children in Their Dens" is often cited.

म.प्र. के छिंदवाड़ा व सिवनी जिले में फैला पेंच राष्टीय उद्यान 'मोग की असली भूमि और रुडयार्ड किपलिंग द्वारा लिखित प्रसिद्ध 'जंगल बुक के क्षेत्र माना जाता है। इस राष्ट्रीय उद्यान की स्थापना सन 1983 में हई थो इसका क्षेत्रफल लगभग 293 वर्ग किमी. है, जो सिवनी व छिंदवाड़ा जिलो विस्तृत है। यहाँ पर बाघ, चीतल, तेंदुआ, सांभर, गौर आदि वन्य प्राणी प जाते हैं।

Pench National Park, spread across Chhindwara and Seoni districts of Madhya Pradesh, is considered the real-life setting of Mowgli's story and the area described in Rudyard Kipling's famous "The Jungle Book." Established in 1983, this national park covers an area of ​​approximately 293 square kilometers, extending across both Seoni and Chhindwara districts. It is home to various wild animals, including tigers, chital (spotted deer), leopards, sambar deer, and gaurs (Indian bison).
