National Commission for Scheduled Tribes
2003 में 89वें संशोधन अधिनियम द्वारा इसका गठन किया गया अनुच्छेद 338 A द्वारा इसकी स्थापना 19 फरवरी 2004 को की गई।
It was constituted by the 89th Amendment Act in 2003 and established by Article 338A on 19 February 2004.
एक अध्यक्ष एक उपाध्यक्ष और 3 सदस्य होते है सदस्यों की नियुक्ति राष्ट्रपति द्वारा की जाती है। अध्यक्ष का दर्जा कैबिनेट मंत्री के बराबर और उपाध्यक्ष का दर्जा का राज्य मंत्री के बराबर होता है।
There is a chairman, a deputy chairman and 3 members. The members are appointed by the President. The rank of the chairman is equal to that of a cabinet minister and the rank of the deputy chairman is equal to that of a minister of state.
इस आयोग का प्रमुख कार्य अनुसूचित जनजाति के वर्ग के हितों की रक्षा करना है।
The main function of this commission is to protect the interests of the Scheduled Tribe class.
