The main religious text of Buddhism is called Tripitaka. It is also called three baskets. Tripitaka contains a collection of Buddha's teachings.
Tripitaka is divided into three parts –
1. Vinaya Pitaka – It is a collection of rules for monks and nuns.
2. Shutta Pitaka – It is a collection of Buddha’s sermons and teachings. It also includes Dhammapada.
3. Abhidhamma Pitaka – It is based on Buddhist philosophy and psychology.
