Tribal dances of Madhya Pradesh:
करमा :- लोकनृत्यों के राजा नाम से प्रसिद्ध करमा नृत्य मुख्यत: कर्म की प्रधानता पर आधारित है जो भादो माह से प्रारम्भ होकर कार्तिक माह तक चलता है।
Karma: Known as the king of folk dances, the Karma dance is primarily based on the principle of action (karma) and is performed from the month of Bhado to the month of Kartik.
करमा नृत्य मंडला क्षेत्र में गोंड, बैगा, कोरकू, देवार, बिजवार तथा बिरहोर आदि जनजातियों द्वारा किया जाता है ।
Karma dance is performed in the Mandla region by tribes such as Gond, Baiga, Korku, Dewar, Bijwar, and Birhor.
मंडला क्षेत्र में करमा नृत्य की सर्वाधिक शैलियां प्रचलित है इसकी प्रमुख शैलियां है- करमा लंगड़ा, करमा झूमर, करमा लहकी, करमा रागनी, करमा ठाढा तथा करमा झरनी आदि।
The Mandla region is home to the largest number of Karma dance styles. Its main styles include Karma Langda, Karma Jhumar, Karma Lahki, Karma Ragini, Karma Thadha, and Karma Jharni, among others.
बैगा जनजाति की चार शैलियां:- करमा खरी, करमा झुल्नी, करमा खाय, करमा लहकी है।
There are four styles of Baiga tribe:- Karma Khari, Karma Jhulni, Karma Khay, Karma Lahki.
· करमा नृत्य गिनीज बुक में शामिल होने वाला देश का पहला नृत्य है।
· Karma dance is the first dance from the country to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
दशहरा :-
Dussehra :-
सामाजिक सौहार्द और प्रेम सम्बंध की भावना की अभिव्यक्ति से प्रेरित होकर यह नृत्य बैगा आदिवासियों द्वारा विजयदशमी के अवसर पर किया जाता है।
Inspired by the expression of social harmony and feelings of love and affection, this dance is performed by the Baiga tribals on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
मण्डला, बालाघाट तथा खण्डवा की बैगा जनजातियों में यह नृत्य वार्षिकोत्सव के रूप में किया जाता है
This dance is performed as an annual festival by the Baiga tribes of Mandla, Balaghat, and Khandwa.
बैगा जनजाति के युवाओं द्वारा किया जाने वाला दशहरा नृत्य आश्विन पंचमी से कार्तिक अमावस्या तक चलता है।
The Dussehra dance performed by the youth of the Baiga tribe lasts from Ashwin Panchami to Kartik Amavasya.
रीना नृत्य :-
Reena Dance :-
विंध्याचल और सतपुड़ा पर्वत के पूर्वी क्षेत्र की गोंड जनजाति की स्त्रियों द्वारा रीना नृत्य किया जाता है रीना नृत्य में गिरजा उत्सव परम्परा है।
The Reena dance is performed by the women of the Gond tribe in the eastern region of the Vindhya and Satpura mountains. The Reena dance is a tradition associated with the Girija festival.
कहरवा नृत्य :- कहरवा नृत्य विवाह के अवसर पर प्रतिदिन रात्रि में गोंड जाति द्वारा सामूहिक रूप से किया जाता है गोंड जाति द्वारा यह नृत्य वैवाहिक अवसरों के अतिरिक्त मृत्यु संस्कार में भी किया जाता है इस नृत्य में प्रमुख रूप से नगाड़ा (टकोरा) वाद्य यंत्र का उपयोग किया जाता है।
Kaharwa Dance: The Kaharwa dance is performed collectively by the Gond community every night during wedding ceremonies. Besides weddings, this dance is also performed by the Gond community during funeral rites. The main musical instrument used in this dance is the nagara (drum).
सैला नृत्य :-
Saila Dance: -
सैला नृत्य कार्तिक-फाल्गुन माह में मुख्यत: अमावस्या के दिन मंडला- डिंडोरी की बैगा जनजाति द्वारा किया जाता है यह एक पुरूष प्रधान नृत्य है।
The Saila dance is primarily performed by the Baiga tribe of Mandla and Dindori districts during the months of Kartik and Falgun, mainly on the new moon day. It is a male-dominated dance.
इस नृत्य की मुख्य विशेषता पैंतरे (पद संचालन शैली) है जिसके द्वारा वीरता एवं ओज से परिपूर्ण् नृत्य को प्रदर्शित किया जाता है।
The main characteristic of this dance is the footwork (movement style) through which a dance full of valor and energy is displayed.
डोहा नृत्य :-
Doha Dance :-
डोहा नृत्य कार्तिक अमावस्या के दिन स्त्रियों द्वारा किया जाता है इस नृत्य की प्रमुख विशेषता यह है कि महिलाओं द्वारा किये गये नृत्य के विपरीत पुरूष अन्य प्रकार से नृत्य प्रदर्शन करते है।
The Doha dance is performed by women on the day of Kartik Amavasya. A unique feature of this dance is that, unlike the women's performance, the men perform the dance in a different style.
भील जनजाति द्वारा डोहा नृत्य को भील नृत्यों का गजरा कहा जाता है।
The Doha dance is considered the crown jewel of Bhil dances by the Bhil tribe.
गरबी नृत्य :-
Garbi Dance :-
भील जनजाति में गरबी नृत्य पितृ एवं प्रकृति पूजा के अवसर पर किया जाता है।
In the Bhil tribe, the Garbi dance is performed on the occasion of ancestor and nature worship.
भड़म नृत्य :- भड़म नृत्य विवाह के अवसर पर सामूहिक रूप से छिंदवाड़ा एवं जबलपुर की भारिया जनजातियों द्वारा किया जाता है इस नृत्य को भिड़नई, भरनोट, गुन्नू साही आदि अन्य नामों से भी जाना जाता है।
Bhadam Dance: The Bhadam dance is performed collectively by the Bhariya tribes of Chhindwara and Jabalpur districts during wedding ceremonies. This dance is also known by other names such as Bhidnai, Bharnot, and Gunnu Sahi.
भारिया जनजाति की महिलाओं द्वारा विवाह के अवसर पर सैताम नृत्य भी किया जाता है।
The Saitam dance is also performed by women of the Bharia tribe on the occasion of weddings.
पूजा नृत्य :-
Worship Dance :-
धार्मिक आस्था से प्रेरिम होकर गोंड एवं उरांव जनजाति द्वारा पूजा नृत्य का आयोजन किया जाता है।
Inspired by religious beliefs, the Gond and Oraon tribes organize worship dances.
गोंड जनजाति (मंडला क्षेत्र) द्वारा ज्येष्ठ मास में बिदरी पूजा का उत्सव एवं उरांव जनजाति (रायगढ़ क्षेत्र) द्वारा चैत्र माह में साल पूजा नामक सार्वजनिक उत्सव किया जाता है।
The Gond tribe (Mandla region) celebrates the Bidri Puja festival in the month of Jyeshtha, and the Oraon tribe (Raigarh region) performs a public festival called Sal Puja in the month of Chaitra.
अटारी नृत्य :-
Attari Dance :-
अटारी नृत्य का आयोजन अवसरों पर बघेलखण्ड क्षेत्र की भूमिज एवं बैगा जनजातियों द्वारा किया जाता है यह नृत्य पुरूषों द्वारा धेरा बनाकर किया जाता है।
The Atari dance is performed on special occasions by the Bhumij and Baiga tribes of the Baghelkhand region. This dance is performed by men forming a circle.
दहका नृत्य :-
Dahka Dance :-
दहरा नृत्य एक सामाजिक लोकनृत्य है जो कोल जनजाति द्वारा किया जाता है।
Dahka dance is a social folk dance performed by the Kol tribe.
डांडरिया नृत्य :-
Dandariya Dance :-
मध्यप्रदेश की बैगा जनजाति द्वारा विजयदशमी के अवसर पर डांडरिया नृत्य का आयोजन किया जाता है।
The Baiga tribe of Madhya Pradesh performs the Dandariya dance on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
