In the extension / विस्‍तार में:

1.   Rourkela Steel Plant - Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) located at Rourkela, Odisha is a major integrated steel plant owned and operated by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). It was the first Indian plant to adopt the energy efficient Linz-Donawitz (LD) process for steel production. RSP has undergone significant modernization and expansion, doubling its capacity to 4.5 MTPA (million tonnes per annum) of hot metal.

राउरकेला स्‍टील प्‍लांट - ओडिशा के राउरकेला में स्थित राउरकेला इस्‍पात संयंत्र (आरएसपी) भारतीय इस्‍पात प्राधिकरण लिमिटेड (सेल) के स्‍वामित्‍व और संचालन वाला एक प्रमुख एकीकृत इस्‍पात संयंत्र है यह इस्‍पात निर्माण के लिए ऊर्जाकुशल लिंज-डोनाविट्ज (एलडी) प्रक्रिया को अपनाने वाला पहला भारतीय संयंत्र था। आरएसपी ने महत्‍वपूर्ण आधुनिकीकरण और विस्‍तार किया है जिससे इसकी क्षमता दोगुनी होकर 4.5 एमटीपीए (मिलियन टन प्रतिवर्ष) हाट मेटल हो गई है।
