When was the Lok Sabha formed?

According to Article 81, the Lok Sabha consists of a maximum of 552 members, out of which 530 are elected from the states and 20 from the Union Territories and two members are nominated by the President from among the people of the Anglo-Indian community.

But at present the number of members in the Lok Sabha is 545, out of which 530 are elected from 13 UTs out of the states and two are nominated by the President.

552 = 530 + 20 + 2 Maximum

545 = 530 + 13 + 2 Present
