दादा साहब फाल्के - भारतीय सिनेमा के जनक

Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, fondly remembered as Dadasaheb Phalke, is credited with directing Raja Harishchandra (1913), considered the first full-length Indian feature film. This mythological drama set the foundation of Indian cinema. His later works like Mohini Bhasmasur, Satyavan Savitri, and the commercially successful Lanka Dahan (1917) consolidated his legacy.

Phalke’s Hindustan Cinema Films Company and the Kohinoor Film Company, both established in 1918, gave Indian filmmaking a significant boost.
