लोकगायन परम्परा मालवा, निमाड़, बुन्देलखण्ड एवं बघेलखण्ड क्षेत्रों में अत्यधिक लोकप्रिय है जो मुख्यत: कर्तव्य, वीरता, प्रेम जैसी उच्च मानवीय मूल्यों एवं भावनाओं पर आधारित है।
