प्रोफेसर डीवी देवधर (दिनकर बलवंत देवधर) भारतीय क्रिकेट के ग्रैंड ऑल्ड मैन कहा जाता है दिनकर बलवंत देवधर पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटर रहे है 1965 में पद्मश्री और 1991 में पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित यह महान खिलाड़ी महाराष्ट्र की ओर से खेलता था इनकी याद में 1973-74 में यह टूर्नामेंट शुरू किया गया । टूर्नामेंट की शुरूआत में कुल 6 टीमें खेलती थी वर्तमान में इंडिया ए इडिया बी और इंडिया सी जैसी टीमें हिस्सा लेती है ।

This great player, who was awarded the Padma Shri in 1965 and the Padma Bhushan in 1991, played for Maharashtra. This tournament was started in his memory in 1973-74. Initially, a total of 6 teams used to play in the tournament. Currently, teams like India A, India B and India C participate.
