Folk dances of Nimar
गणगौर:- गणगौर निमाड़ का धार्मिक लोकनृत्य है जो चैत्रमास में गणगौर पर्व के अवसर पर किया जाता है यह नृत्य ढोल और थाली की थाप पर किया जाता है प्रदेश में झोला तथा झालरिया शैली के दो गणगौर लोकनृत्य किये जाते है इसकी विषयवस्तु में भक्ति के रूप में देवता धनियार सूर्यदेव और रनुबाई की उपासना करना है।
Gangaur: Gangaur is a religious folk dance of the Nimar region, performed during the Gangaur festival in the month of Chaitra. This dance is performed to the rhythm of drums and cymbals. Two styles of Gangaur folk dance, Jholla and Jhalariya, are performed in the region. Its theme involves the worship of the deities Dhaniyar, Suryadev (Sun God), and Ranubai as an expression of devotion.
काठी:- काठी नृत्य पार्वती की तपस्या से संबंधित मातृ पूजक नृत्य है जिसका वाद्य यंत्र ढाक कहलाता है
Kathi: Kathi dance is a mother-worshipping dance related to Goddess Parvati's penance, and its musical instrument is called Dhak.
काठी नर्तकों की वेशभूषा नेपाल के महाकाली के नर्तकों के समान होती है जिसे वाना कहा जाता है यह देव प्रबोधनी एकादशी से आरम्भ होकर महाशिवरात्रि के समय समाप्त होती है।
The costumes of the Kathi dancers are similar to those of the Mahakali dancers of Nepal, which are called Vana. This dance form begins on Dev Prabodhini Ekadashi and concludes around Mahashivratri.
नृत्य के साथ किये जाने वाले गायन में सुरियलों महाजन भिलठरों बाल, गोडेन नगर, हरिश्चन्द्र आदि कथाएं होती है।
The songs performed along with the dance include stories such as Suriyalo Mahajan Bhiltharo Bal, Goden Nagar, and Harishchandra.
फेफरिया:-

फेफरिया एक पारम्परिक समूह नृत्य है जिसमें स्त्री और पुरूष समूह बनाकर नृत्य करते है फेफरिया नामक वाद्य के कारण इस नृत्य को फेफरिया नृत्य कहा जाता है यह नृत्य मुख्यत: विवाह के अवसर पर किया जाता है।
Phepharia is a traditional group dance in which men and women dance together in groups. The dance is named after the musical instrument called Phepharia. This dance is mainly performed on the occasion of weddings.
माडल्या :-
Madalya :-
माडल्या स्त्री प्रधान नृत्य है जिसमें पुरूषों द्वारा बजाए गये ढोल की थाप पर स्त्रियां नृत्य करती है।
Madalya is a female-dominated dance form in which women dance to the rhythm of drums played by men.
डंडा नाच
Stick dance
चैत्र- वैशाख मास में कृशकों द्वारा डंडा नृत्य किया जाता है डंडा नृत्य के दौरान छल्ला या दोहे गाये जाते है ।
During the months of Chaitra and Vaishakh, farmers perform the Danda dance. During the Danda dance, couplets or short verses are sung.
आड़ा-खड़ा नृत्य :-
निमाड़ क्षेत्र में जन्म, मुंडन संस्कार और विवाह के अवसर पर कई नृत्य किए जाते है इन नृत्यों को आड़ा-खड़ा कहा जाता है।
In the Nimar region, several dances are performed on the occasions of birth, head-shaving ceremonies, and weddings. These dances are called Aada-Khada dances.
