Operation Sindoor

·         India on the morning of 7 May 2025.

· This operation was a response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 innocent civilians lost their lives. 9 locations of terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen present in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) were targeted.

·       "Sindoor" means sacrifice, mourning and respect.

        It was kept in memory of the martyrs whose lives were taken by terrorism.

         It is also a cultural symbol, which reflects both Indianness and revenge.

        India will now respond to terrorism not with silence but with concrete action.

         This operation shows that India has become a technologically capable, self-reliant and decisive power.
