Qualifying marks:- The candidate needs to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.

PART-B

Duration: 60 Min.

No of Questions: 75

Qualifying Mark: 35% (This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible)

This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). Candidates with ITI/Trade Apprenticeship qualification will be required to appear in the section having questions from the relevant trade. Candidates holding Degree, Diploma having eligibility for the posts of ALP have to select relevant trade from the list of trades listed against their engineering discipline.

 

ELIGIBILITY:

 

Nationality/Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens.

Age Limit:

For UR candidates, the upper age limit is 42 years.

For OBC candidates, the upper age limit is 45 years.

For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is 47 years.

The age limits mentioned in the Vacancy Table for the respective post(s) will be considered as of 01.01.2024.

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATION- Applicants must possess the necessary minimum educational qualifications as specified for the positions outlined in GDCE Notification No. 01/2023. These qualifications must be from a recognized Board/University/Institute and should be valid as of the closing date for the ONLINE application submission, as detailed in Annexure 'A'. It is essential that candidates have the required educational qualification by the application closing date, and this must also be verified in the employee's Service Sheet. Individuals who are anticipating results for the final examination of the prescribed minimum educational qualification are advised not to submit an application.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Step 1: Open the official website: www.secr.indianrailways.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the "Apply Online" section.

Step 3: Complete the required details in the application form.

Step 4: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, identity proof, and other documents in the specified format and size, following the provided instructions.

Step 5: Double-check all entered details for accuracy.

Step 6: Proceed to pay the application fees.

Step 7: Submit the form and make sure to note down and save your registration number or roll number.

 

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

Employees with ITI/Act Apprentice/Diploma/Engineering Qualifications must specify their respective trade/exam group.

Employees should indicate preferences for all eligible posts applied for.

Minimum qualifying marks in various categories:

UR: 40%

OBC (Non-creamy layer): 30%

SC: 30%

ST: 25%

PwBD candidates may have a relaxation of 2% in case of a shortage of PwBD candidates for reserved vacancies.

Negative marking applies, with 1/3 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.

PwBD candidates are entitled to a Scribe where applicable.

In case of tie in marks, merit will be determined by age, with the older candidate ranked higher. If age is the same, alphabetical order of names will be considered.

Candidates up to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification (DV) based on CBT merit and preferences.

Final appointment of candidates depends on passing the required Medical Fitness Test conducted by Railway Administration, verification of educational and community certificates, and antecedent/character verification.

Admission to all recruitment stages is provisional, subject to candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility conditions.
