Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards 2022 and 2023  To Ninety-Four Artists

President Droupadi Murmu awarded Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for the Years 2022 and 2023 to ninety-four artists in New Delhi on 6 March 2024.

 Awards were given in various fields such as music, dance, drama, folk and tribal arts, puppetry, and allied theatre art forms.

“National Creators Award”

The National Creators Award, was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on 8 March 2024. This award aims to celebrate excellence across various domains, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming.

INS Jatayu

INS Jatayu, a new naval base, was commissioned at Minicoy Island in the Lakshadweep  on March 6, 2024.

‘Measles and Rubella Champion’ Global Award for combating these Diseases

India has been awarded the measles and rubella champion award for its efforts in combating measles and rubella diseases.The award was received by Ambassador Sripriya Ranganathan on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the American Red Cross Headquarters in Washington on March 6th.
