Background of the incident
सोहावल रियासत में ब्रिटिश शासन के दमनकारी नीतियों के खिलाफ विद्रोह की चिंगारी सुलग रही थी। इस आंदोलन के नेतृत्व में पगार खुर्द निवासी लाल बुद्ध प्रताप सिंह सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रहे थे। स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की अलख जगाने के उद्देश्य से उन्होंने हिनौता गाँव में एक आम सभा आयोजित की। इस सभा में बड़ी संख्या में स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और स्थानीय ग्रामीण शामिल होने वाले थे।
The spark of rebellion against the oppressive policies of British rule was smoldering in the Sohawal State. Lal Budh Pratap Singh, a resident of Pagar Khurd, was playing an active role in leading this movement. To awaken the spirit of the freedom struggle, he organized a public meeting in Hinauta village. A large number of freedom fighters and local villagers were expected to attend.
माजन गोलीकांड

जब स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी लाल बुद्ध प्रताप सिंह, रामाश्रय गौतम और मंधीर पांडे इस सभा में शामिल होने के लिए जा रहे थे, तब ब्रिटिश सैनिकों ने माजन गाँव के समीप उन्हें रोककर निर्ममता से गोली मार दी।
When freedom fighters Lal Buddha Pratap Singh, Ramasray Gautam and Mandir Pandey were going to attend this meeting, British soldiers stopped them near Majhan village and shot them mercilessly.
इस वीभत्स हत्याकांड में तीनों वीरों ने अपने प्राणों की आहुति दे दी। यह घटना इतिहास में "माजन गोलीकांड" के नाम से भी जानी जाती है।
All three heroes sacrificed their lives in this horrific massacre. This incident is also known in history as the "Majan Shootout."
