दुनिया भर के देशों के बीच होने वाली सबसे बड़ी, बहु-खेल प्रतियोगिता है, जिसमें 200 से अधिक देश भाग लेते हैं।  यह सबसे पुराना हैं प्राचीन काल में यूनान देश की राजधानी एथेंस  में 1896 ओलिंपिक पर्वत खेले जाने के कारण इस खेल का नाम ओलम्पिक पड़ा।

It is the largest, multi-sport event held worldwide, with over 200 countries participating. It is the oldest sporting event, having been held in Athens, the capital of Greece, in ancient times. The Olympic Games were held in 1896, giving it its name.
