1. India's economic growth is expected to surpass 7% in the fiscal year 2024-25, potentially reaching 7.5%, driven by robust high-frequency indicators that suggest a resilient economy. 2. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) formally transferred the Medium Range-Microwave Obscurant Chaff Rocket (MR-MOCR) to the Indian Navy during a ceremony in New Delhi. 6.  ICICI Bank has achieved a significant milestone, with its market capitalization surpassing the $100 billion threshold on June 25, 2024. This feat makes it the sixth Indian company to join the elite club of firms with a market value exceeding $100 billion. The private sector lender now ranks alongside industry giants such as Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, and Bharti Airtel, which have also achieved this remarkable benchmark.

 

7. In a landmark decision, the Madhya Pradesh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, resolved on June 25, 2024, to shift the responsibility of paying income tax on salaries and allowances from the state government to individual ministers. This move reverses a four-decade-old practice, dating back to 1972, where the state bore the tax liability. The cabinet's unanimous approval, secured during a meeting in Bhopal, signals a significant shift in the state's approach to ministerial compensation
