मध्यप्रदेश में कृषि आधारित उद्योग, कृषि क्षेत्र द्वारा उत्पादित कच्चे माल पर निर्भर है। औद्योगिक उत्पादन में कृषि क्षेत्र का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है, जो राज्य में रोजगार का सबसे बड़ा साधन है।
Agriculture-based industries in Madhya Pradesh rely on raw materials produced by the agricultural sector. The agricultural sector contributes significantly to industrial production and is the largest source of employment in the state.
चीनी, वस्त्र, खाद प्रसंस्करण, रेशम तथा वनस्पति घी आदि राज्य के प्रमुख कृषि आधारित उद्योग है।
Sugar, textiles, fertilizer processing, silk and vegetable ghee etc. are the major agriculture based industries of the state.

चीनी उद्योग देश का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा कृषि आधारित उद्योग है। यह कच्चे माल पर आधारित एक भारह्रासी उद्योग है, जिससे प्रत्यक्ष व अप्रत्यक्ष रोजगार का सृजन होता है। इस उद्योग का प्रमुख कच्चा माल गन्ना है
The sugar industry is the second largest agriculturally based industry in the country. It is a highly dependent raw material industry, generating direct and indirect employment. Sugarcane is the main raw material for this industry.
मध्यप्रदेश में प्रथम चीनी मिल की स्थापना वर्ष 1934 में जावरा (रतलाम) में की गई थी। वर्तमान में राज्य में चीनी मिलों की संख्या लगभग 26 है. जिसमें मुख्य रूप से भोपाल शुगर मिल (सीहोर) बरलाई शुगर मिल देवास (प्रदेश की सबसे बड़ी चीनी मिल), डबरा शुगर मिल (ग्वालियर), एवं सेठ गोविंद दास मिल (उज्जैन), कैलारस शुगर मिल (मुरैना) तथा जीवाजी शुगर मिल (मंदसौर) आदि है। इसके अतिरिक्त सारंगपुर एवं आलोट आलोट में भी चीनी के कारखाने स्थापित किए गए हैं।
The first sugar mill in Madhya Pradesh was established in Jaora (Ratlam) in 1934. Currently, there are approximately 26 sugar mills in the state. These include Bhopal Sugar Mill (Sehore), Barlai Sugar Mill (Dewas) (the state's largest sugar mill), Dabra Sugar Mill (Gwalior), Seth Govind Das Mill (Ujjain), Kailaras Sugar Mill (Morena), and Jiwaji Sugar Mill (Mandsaur). Sugar factories have also been established in Sarangpur and Alot.
