सूती वस्त्र उत्पादन में राज्य का देश में तीसरा स्थान है स्थान है। इस समय राज्य में कुल 65 सूती वस्त्र मिलें संचालित है। राज्य का सबसे बड़ा सूती वस्त्र उत्पादन केंद्र इंदौर में स्थित है।

The state ranks third in the country in cotton textile production. Currently, there are 65 cotton textile mills operating in the state. The state's largest cotton textile production center is located in Indore.

मध्य प्रदेश में सूती वस्त्र उद्योग की प्रथम मिल बुरहानपुर में वर्ष 1906 में स्थापित की गई थी, जो असफल रही। किंतु वर्ष 1907 में स्थापित मालवा मिल (इंदौर) सूती वस्त्र उद्योग की दिशा में सफल सिद्धि हुई थी। में सफल सिद्धि हुई थी। हुई थी।

The first cotton textile mill in Madhya Pradesh was established in Burhanpur in 1906, but it failed. However, the Malwa Mill (Indore), established in 1907, was a successful achievement in the cotton textile industry.

रेशम उ‌द्योग / silk industry

मध्य प्रदेश में शहतूत, टसर और इरी रेशम का उत्पादन किया जाता है। रेशम उद्योग भारत में कुटीर उद्योग के अंतर्गत आता है। राज्य में मंडला प्रमुख रेशम उत्पादक क्षेत्र है।

 Madhya Pradesh produces mulberry, tussar, and eri silk. The silk industry is a cottage industry in India. Mandla is a major silk-producing region in the state.

मध्य प्रदेश की वर्धा तथा पूर्णा नदी घाटियों में रेशम की खेती की जाती है।

 Silk is cultivated in the Wardha and Purna river valleys of Madhya Pradesh.

1 सितंबर 1984 को पंचायत एवं ग्रामीण विभाग, मध्य प्रदेश के अंतर्गत के अंतर्गत रेशम संचालनालय का गठन किया गया। इसके अंतर्गत, मलबरी स्वावलंबन योजना के द्वारा मलबरी रेशम का विकास एवं विस्तार कार्यक्रम चलाया जा रहा है।

The Directorate of Silk was established on September 1, 1984, under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department of Madhya Pradesh. Under this initiative, a program for the development and expansion of mulberry silk is being implemented through the Mulberry Self-Reliance Scheme.

कृत्रिम रेशा उ‌द्योग

राज्य में कृत्रिम रेशे या रेयान का सबसे बड़ा कारखाना पश्चिमी मालवा के नागदा जिले में स्थित है।

 The largest artificial fibre or rayon factory in the state is located in Nagda district of Western Malwa.

मध्यप्रदेश में प्रमुख कपड़ा औद्योगिक केंद्र देवास, उज्जैन, ग्वालियर इंदौर तथा नागदा आदि जिलों में स्थित है। जिलों में स्थित है।

The major textile industrial centres in Madhya Pradesh are located in the districts of Dewas, Ujjain, Gwalior, Indore and Nagda.

कृत्रिम रेशा उ‌द्योग

वनस्पति घी बनाने के लिए मुख्यतः मूंगफली, बिनौला सोयाबीन, तिल, सूरजमुखी आदि के तेल की आवश्यकता होती है।

 To make vegetable ghee, mainly oil of peanut, cottonseed, soybean, sesame, sunflower etc. is required.

इसके कारखाने मालवा पठार, मध्य नर्मदा घाटी, चंबल घाटी और छिंदवाड़ा पठार में स्थित है।

 Its factories are located in Malwa Plateau, Central Narmada Valley, Chambal Valley and Chhindwara Plateau.

राज्य में वनस्पति घी के 10 कारखाने हैं, जिनमें अधिकतर कारखानों का संकेंद्रण गंजबासौदा (विदिशा), इंदौर, खंडवा जबलपुर तथा ग्वालियर आदि जिलों में है।

There are 10 vegetable ghee factories in the state, most of which are concentrated in districts like Ganjbasoda (Vidisha), Indore, Khandwa, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
