Asia's first oil refinery

डिगबाई तेल शोधनागार- एशिया की पहली तेल शोधक है जो असम के डिगबोई शहर में स्थित है इसे 1901 में स्‍थापित किया गया था और यह अभी भी चालू है जो इसे सबसे पुरानी रिफाइनरी बनाता है इसे असम ऑयल कम्‍पनी लिमिटेड द्वारा स्‍थापित किया गया था। इसे भारतीय हाइड्रोकार्बन क्षेत्र की गंगोत्री माना जाता है और भारत में इसे तेल उद्योग का जन्‍मस्‍थान कहा जाता है इसकी क्षमता 0.65 MMTPA (मिलियन मीट्रिक टन प्रतिवर्ष ) तक बढ़ गई थी डिगबोई तेल शोधक न केवल एक औद्योगिक स्‍थल है, बल्कि एक सांस्‍कृतिक स्‍थल भी है।

Digbai Oil Refinery - Asia's first oil refinery is located in Digboi town of Assam. It was established in 1901 and is still operational which makes it the oldest refinery. It was established by Assam Oil Company Limited. It is considered the Gangotri of Indian hydrocarbon sector and is called the birthplace of oil industry in India. Its capacity was increased to 0.65 MMTPA (million metric tonnes per annum). Digboi Oil Refinery is not only an industrial site but also a cultural site.
