Vienna Retains Title as Most Livable City: Global Liveability Index 2023 Report

→ World's most liveable city - Vienna (Austria)
→ Second place - Copenhagen (Denmark)
→ Five cities of India, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad are included in this list.

·      Recently, Japanese lawmakers have passed a law to increase the age of consent from 13 years to 16 years.

·      193 member states of the United Nations on June 20 approved the first treaty to protect marine life in the high seas.

·      China and Pakistan have signed an agreement for the construction of 1200 MW Chashma-V nuclear power plant at Chashma in Punjab province.

·      V. Vidyavati, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, India signed an MoU with the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Under this agreement, Goa Roadmap favoured to promote tourism.

·      Recently the United Nations has removed India from the annual report on children in armed conflict. The reason for this is that India has made better progress in the direction of child protection.

·      Recently Canada launched the Digital Nomad Strategy for foreign workers to attract skilled workers in the industry.

·      The name of Indian-origin World Bank President Ajay Banga has been included in the list of Great Immigrants of the year 2023.
