मध्यप्रदेश में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण नदी द्वीप ओंकारेश्वर हैं जो खंडवा में नर्मदा के तट पर स्थित है। यहाँ पर महादेव का मंदिर, आदिशंकराचार्य की गुफाएँ, सिद्धनाथ का मंदिर, ममलेश्वर मंदिर, ओंकारेश्वर का मंदिर आदि दर्शनीय स्थल है। ओंकारेश्वर का प्राचीन नाम मान्धाता है। देश के द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंगों में इसकी गणना की जाती है।

The ancient name of Omkareshwar is Mandhata. It is counted among the twelve Jyotirlingas (shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva) of India.
